Once a month, Misa Fujisawa becomes irritable due to PMS (premenstrual syndrome), and despite having just changed jobs, a small action by her seemingly unmotivated colleague Takatoshi Yamazoe causes her anger to explode. Misa falls into self-loathing, but learns that Yamazoe is actually suffering from panic disorder, giving up on various things, and losing her purpose in life and energy. Supported by the understanding of the people at work, the two are neither friends nor lovers, but develop a special feeling like comrades. Eventually, even if your symptoms don't improve, you will start to think that you can still help others.
Yamazoe and Misa have symptoms that make it difficult for people to understand their worries, and they live a social life while feeling that it is difficult to live. Knowing each other's circumstances and loneliness, the two cannot understand everything about the other, but they gradually find hope by interacting with each other who has difficulty living, and by interacting with their unreserved selves. This work depicts the struggles of these two people in a warm, realistic, and sometimes humorous way.
The original story is "And the baton was passed" won the 2019 Bookstore Grand Prize and is still fresh in the memory of the big hit movie "Yoake No Subete" (published by Mizurinsha). This work, the first after winning the Bookstore Grand Prize, has garnered support as a long-selling book, with a cumulative circulation of 9 printings exceeding 52,000 copies (as of February 13, 2023). Based on Seo's own experience of panic disorder, the gentle and warm sentences are heartwarming stories that shine a ray of light on the darkness that everyone faces.

Hokuto Matsumura (27) and Moe Kamishiraishi (25), who played the role of a married couple in the NHK TV series "Come Come Everybody." are double starred. She used to have a good job and love, but a panic disorder changed her life. It is Hokuto Matsumura to play the main character, Takatoshi Yamazoe, who is unable to go to places where there is no escape, such as trains and beauty salons. While active as a member of the SixTONES, he has appeared in many popular works as an actor, and in last year's blockbuster "Suzume no Tojimari" (directed by Makoto Shinkai), he supported the heroine and became a key person in the story, Sota Munakata, who made his first attempt as a voice actor, and has been highly praised on SNS. Combining popularity and ability, he won the Best New Actor Award at the 46th Japan Academy Awards for the movie "Hollic xxxHOLiC", and is one of the most anticipated young actors of the moment. In addition, the other main character, Misa Fujisawa, who is usually easygoing, but cannot control her irritability and explodes in anger once a month due to PMS (premenstrual syndrome), is played by Mone Kamishiraishi, who is active not only in movies, dramas, and the stage, but also as a singer. Her good performance in "Spirited Away" starring Kannna Hashimoto and W is still fresh in her memory, and she held her first performance at Japan Budokan in Tokyo "MONE KAMISHIRAISHI 2023 at BUDOKAN" on the 25th of last month, making her a prominent presence among young actresses.

Directed and co-written by "Keiko Clearing Eyes", which was released last year, was entered into the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival and 21 other film festivals, won the Japan Film Excellence Award and Best Director Award at the Mainichi Film Awards Japan Film Awards, and won first place in the Kinema Junpo Best Ten Japan Best Ten Films.
